If your traveling to mudgee then go another 28kl & visit Gulgong Museum. You won't be sorry. The kids will also love it
A wealth of surprises. Fabulous museum run by local volunteers. Amazing collections. Everything from Farm machinery, to fossils, geological specimens and medical instruments. This was my third visit and I am still overwhelmed by the number and barrier of artefacts. My personal favourite is the still operational Linotype machines.
A huge, rambling series of buildings together as the one museum. Allow at least two hours to view it all. Could do with a few seats for resting and an area for basic refreshments.
A fantastic museum! Wouldn't expect to find such a great museum in such a small town. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I took our two Grandson's (aged 7 & 8). We spent nearly 2 hours there. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane for me and a history lesson for the boy's. Well done. A great return on investment.
