While this wasn't huge in size, the information was great. The "mine tunnel" we walked through was cool but, for us, the gold panning was the thing we came for. My 3 year old daughter had such a blast finding "gold and precious gems", it was a steal for $5. The guy who showed us how to pan was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience well worth it.
Very nice experience for our family. It was interesting to see how gold is found and learn about the mine history. The staff member was very friendly, knowlegable and he kindly answered our questions.

Very difference experience to have if you are visiting Mudgee and surrounding. I could not get in to the gold mine but could got a fair idea of how gold and the inhabitants around are so correlated. Best place to have a reflection of local history with unique experience unlike your typical holiday trip.
